Anyone that owns multiple headphones...im looking to buy a set....I see lots of references to black widow, grey ghost etc. etc. Is there really any one better or more sensitive than the others or are they all really about the same?....this for a 2B, or any other md, for that matter. I have some but they are not high end. Anyone?

DMC II B Transmit Power Question (5 replies)
Howdy All, I recently acquired a DMC II B and took it to a heavily picked colonial site today to try it out. Started out with transmit power set at 6. After a while I tried turning it up to 35 and threw down my test bullet to check everything out. The disc side beeped as it should but there was no change in the threshold side. Is this normal or have I got a problem? Thanks Steve

Any recent finds?? (1 reply)
Noticed that there are no posts since the middle of May....guess that everyone is busy!! I live close to Houston and we have been drying out since the bad rain and floods of around Memorial Day. I really like the Nautilus...sorry to hear of the demise of the company....I had used the Silver King and the Relic King (LF)....and still have a MF.......had a DMC 2 around 30 years ago. Been researching the newer Nautilus.... probably get the DMC 2 or the DMC 2B in the near future. Would like to see any recent finds!....Thanks Joe

...DMC 2 vs DMC 2B?? (7 replies)
.....Well...I am Not sure what I want Now??..........I thought that I wanted a DMC 2B....but after doing a lot of reading old threads it seems that a lot of people prefer the DMC 2....not just because it is Hot and goes deep.......most of these were made during the Jerry Tyndale era and they are just more preferred. Also with no company for service, I heard that the coils on the DMC 2 just stand up longer and are more reliable than the 2B. A lot of these have the U-handle or some call it the Horseshoe handle.....which does not bother me ....I have used detectors since 1970 and have used and seen all of the configurations of the handle. I kinda smirk when I hear that some think that the Nautilus is heavy....I come from back in the day that 6 to 8 pounds was considered normal weight,,,,,......boy that means that a lot of time has come down the pike.....LOL

Nautilus 8'' coil (no replies)
Well got my 8'' coil a couple days back and been out a couple hunts. Works great and swings pretty easy on the S-ROD may not need a Whites conversion will see on that one. First time out went to a pounded 1900's ball field I pounded good with my Etrac and CZ-3D. After about a hour got a good soft repetable disc. only round tone I listen for. I dug down about 9'' and on edge I saw a nickel type rim and sure enough a 1887 V-Nickel. My Etrac and CZ-3D are both hot on Nickels. But both missed this one. Also got a 1926 Buffalo Nickel at another site that was close to 10''. That is one reason I got another IIBa as they are hot on lower conducters that others left behind.

DMC-1, DMC-1B and DMC-IIB (1 reply)
Can anyone tell me the difference between these three models?
I know what the DMC-1 and DMC-IIB are as I have them both.
But I cant find out anything about the DMC-IB. I suspect it is similar to the IIB but without the Power Control.

Looking to trade White's spectrum xlt for Nautilus (no replies)
Hello, new to the forum. I've got a White's xlt. I was curious if there was anyone who might be interested in trading for a Nautilus DMC-IIb or IIba? I've got extra coils. One smaller 8" I believe and I may still have a hot head coil for it as well (will have to look). Plus the original coil it came with. May throw in boot as well. Thanks.
