I use a Nautilus as does my regular detecting pal. I also have two other friends in different parts of the UK who use a Nautilus. I am interested to make contact with any other Nautilus users within the UK.

Nautilus detectors...One of the Best! :clapping: (1 reply)
You can't find them as often as most other brands...and that is a good thing...for those of us that have one. These units are a little old fashioned but built with great care. They are not the best in heavy mineralized soils but awesome in most. I've cherished my Nautilus ever since I first got one and learned how to use it. To me the dual mode (discrimination in one ear and all metal in the other) is the most telling way to identify a target without losing a lot of depth. What a detector!
Like the old saying goes..."Best kept secret around"... in the detecting world.
I just had to vent some praise. :super:

X-Mas Nautilus Vacation Finds Dec.17-25 (1 reply)
I did good finds 2 plates, lots bullets, and best button M.D. Cuff . I hunted lots hours in super hard hit Camps. Most items where over 12 deep . The U.S. Box plate only 6 inched deep it super trashy modern sites. The Eagle Plate and most buttons where found super deep in area I hunted with Blisstoll V-5 last fall and missed them all. The Nautilus DMC2B is still the King and proven track record to finds deep targets in good soils that no others can here.. Don't Buy all BS from Blisstoll dealers BS Y-tube,. . Stick with a Model that has proven Track Record to Find/deep relics. DMC2b

Nautilus on brass and lead... (1 reply)
I've been hunting an old spot that used to house an old saloon back in the 1850's. I've found some nice old seated dimes there in the past...but now the area refuses to give anything up...even with the newer units we have today. I've used a CTX 3030 as well as a Deus on this site and have found nothing but junk and deep rusty old square nails. This made me kinda disappointed as I was certain that there is more to be found there. I pulled out my old trusty Nautilus DMC II and within a matter of minutes found 3 brass items as well as a couple of lead bullets. Why the other units didn't pull these out for me was the question on my mind. But the Nautilus at 14kHz seemed to like that brass and lead. I only ran the Deus at 4 and 12 kHz...but it missed these items. I'm not knocking the other machines...just wanted to let folks know that the Nautilus' will do a good job when the other units may fail. The ground was of low mineralization...but had a lot of square nails.

Is anyone still using their Nautilus on a regular basis? (3 replies)
I just wondered if anyone was still using the Nautilus on a regular basis.
For me it has earned its rest. I no longer take it out but there are many fond memories of it in the field.
